Branding, marketing, and multi-platform content integration are ever-changing. Are your customer engagement and digital media strategy at par with global industry leaders? What are the top companies leading mobile, social, and digital media trends doing right? This is what the Uganda Social media awards sought to recognize.
The lineup of shortlisted companies at the third edition of the awards that took place in April reaffirmed how pivotal digital media has become to the communication value chain; not just for individuals but corporate companies/institutions as well.
Organized by Blu Flamingo, a digital media agency, the awards seek to bring together individuals and organizations that are at the frontline when it comes to using digital media for entertainment, change, sharing of ideas, creating communities, and talking to customers online.
This year’s edition was different from the previous ones given the fact that it started earlier with presentations before going into the official prize-giving session. Seanice Lojede, the CEO of Blu Flamingo said that the first phase targets – of raising awareness and providing recognition for the significant players in the industry had been achieved; so, it was time to evolve.“Next year, we shall also have an event called Digicon.
We are moving to a different kind of event that recognizes excellent work but also gives others an opportunity to learn,” she said.
