He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Political Science, and Economics from Macalester College, and dual master’s degrees in public affairs and urban and regional planning, as well as a PhD in Public Affairs from Princeton University.
His experience working in Southeast Asia, including roles at the Thailand Development Research Institute, the World Bank Group, and Singapore Management University, has provided him with a deep understanding of development challenges and opportunities.
