
Stanbic Business Incubator Limited (SBIL), a subsidiary of Stanbic Uganda Holdings Limited (SUHL), under the management of Ms. Catherine Poran as Chief Executive, will conduct a graduation ceremony for the 2024 cohort of SMEs under two capacity building programs; Stanbic Accelerator Program (SAP), and the Supplier Development Program (SDP).
A total of 48 out of 60 business owners who have completed the 9-month intensive training and coaching will officially be recognised and awarded certificates of completion on May 16th, 2025, at a ceremony that will be held at the Uganda Registration Services Bureau in Kololo.
The theme for the event is Stand-out for Uganda’ and it encapsulates the initiative’s vision of empowering entrepreneurs to transcend traditional SME limitations and become catalysts for Uganda’s economic transformation.
According to Ms. Poran, this theme not only celebrates the graduates’ achievements but also resonates with Stanbic’s commitment to driving Uganda’s growth by fostering a vibrant and competitive entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Ultimately, the initiative aims to inspire the emergence of Uganda’s National Economic Champions who will raise the national flag in regional and international markets, contributing to a vibrant and prosperous future for Uganda.
This graduation ceremony is not just an endpoint but a launch pad for the initiative.
