This Tuesday, September 1st,2020, CNOOC Q2 Oil is set to hold an Oil and Gas Supplier Development E-Conference, during which stakeholders will discuss the Preparedness of Local Businesses for the Development Phase of the oil and gas sector in Uganda.
We have established that the E-Conference dubbed ‘Wong Energy’, which has attracted the attention of several stakeholders in the oil and gas sector, will be aired live on NTV Uganda starting 12:00PM prompt.
Some of the panelists include; Mathew Kyaligonza, the National Content Manager CNOOC Uganda Ltd, Benita Bageire, the Founder and Managing Director Albertine Oil and Gas Service Ltd.
Others include; Tonny Otoa, Dr. Emma Naluyima, a popular largescale farmer and James Musherure from the Petroleum Authority Uganda.

CNOOC International is one of the largest oil and gas companies in Uganda’s energy sector and owns one-third interests in each of Exploration Areas (EA) EA1/1A, EA2 and Kingfisher.
Their partners are Total E&P Uganda (33.3%) and Tullow Oil (33.3%). CNOOC International operates the Kingfisher production license.
These blocks, located in the Lake Albert Rift Basin, are in one of the most promising basins for oil and gas resources in Africa.
In 2016, development and production licenses for eight oil fields in the EA 1 and EA 2 blocks were issued by the government.
In 2017, the front-end engineering design (FEED) of the blocks was initiated and the intergovernmental agreement for an oil pipeline was signed and the FEED was completed.
CNOOC International also completed the FEED for ground construction and drilling on block EA 3A in 2017.
