Empowering Women in Green Agribusiness: Stanbic Bank and GIZ Partner to Drive Economic Growth

Stanbic Bank, through its business development initiative, the Stanbic Business Incubator, headed by Catherine A. Poran, as Chief Executive, has partnered with the German development agency GIZ to empower women investing in Green Agribusiness.

The partnership, which is part of the WE4D (Promoting Women’s Employment for Africa’s Green Transformation) Programme, aims to foster the growth of green women-led micro and small enterprises in Uganda.

 The project seeks to improve women’s employment opportunities, especially in green sectors and in companies and value chains that are driving the green transformation on the African continent.
