MTN Uganda, in partnership with the Tooro Kingdom, on Thursday May 15, 2025, launched the fourth edition of the prestigious MTN Kabode Tooro Kingdom Amasaza Tournament at Muchwa, with this year’s edition expanding to include both football and netball competitions running side-by-side.
The tournament will officially kick off on June 8th, 2025, at the Humura Church of Uganda (C.O.U) playground.
This year, the tournament comes with an exciting new twist, the integration of MTN’s Kabode Supa smartphone as the tournament’s title sponsor.
The initiative aligns with MTN’s Ambition 2025 and the brand’s belief that everyone deserves the benefits of a modern connected life.
As part of this, MTN is extending its revolutionary Mpola Mpola device financing offer to the people of Tooro and beyond.
Football and netball fans can now own the powerful Kabode Supa smartphone by starting with a deposit of just Shs45,000, then completing payment in daily instalments as low as Shs1,000.
Weekly and monthly payment options are also available. To check if you qualify, simply dial *165*5*2*1#.

Exciting Features
In line with the tournament’s energetic spirit and MTN’s brand message, “Together, our vibes are unstoppable”, this year’s tournament will feature several Kabode-themed engagements designed to reward skill, passion, and participation, which include:
Man of the Match
For every football and netball match, the best player as selected by the technical committee will receive a fully connected Kabode Supa smartphone courtesy of MTN Uganda.
Kabode Fans Challenge
To bring the fanbase closer to the Kabode experience, fans will engage in two exciting halftime activities:
Dribble Challenge: Held during game breaks at activation rigs, the winner will walk away with a Kabode Supa phone.
Lucky Dip Draw: Two lucky fans who have purchased a Kabode Supa smartphone at the match venue stand a chance to win Shs100,000 each.
Overall Tournament Winners
Both the football and netball winning teams will be rewarded with Kabode Supa smartphones, among other prizes.
