
The Ministry of ICT and National Guidance, in partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), has launched a Business Matching Platform, known as BizLink, to connect Ugandan ICT professionals and companies with international counterparts.
This platform is designed to promote Uganda’s technology sector, drive economic growth, and empower local businesses.
According to officials at the Ministry, the UJ Connect BizLink Platform, is a national B2B e-commerce platform developed to connect Ugandan enterprises to new local, regional, and global opportunities.
The platform is part of the Ministry’s broader efforts to digitally transform Uganda’s economy, empower local businesses, and promote Made-in-Uganda products and services.
Speaking about the platform, Mr. Yamashita Hideshi, the Senior Representative of JICA Uganda, a key partner in driving innovation and business collaboration between Uganda and Japan, said that; “Through our partnership with JICA, the Ministry of ICT has facilitated impactful business matching initiatives under UJ-Connect, connecting Ugandan startups with Japanese companies for growth, investment, and knowledge exchange.”
“One of our latest milestones together is the launch of the UJ Connect BizLink Platform, a digital space for Ugandan businesses to access global opportunities,” he added, noting the platform connects Ugandan ICT professionals with trusted local and international companies, enabling opportunities for jobs, partnerships, and innovation.

BizLink enables seamless talent matching by aligning ICT skills with market demand. This will create opportunities for Ugandan ICT professionals to work with international companies, gain new skills, and learn from global best practices.
