Bank of Kigali Plc announced the appointment of Eugene Ubalijoro as its new Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective February 5, 2025. Mr. Ubalijoro succeeds Rod Michael Reynolds, who is retiring from the position.
The appointment was made by resolution of the Board of Directors of BK Group Plc, the Shareholder of Bank of Kigali Plc.
Mr. Ubalijoro brings a wealth of experience to the role. With over 30 years in the beverage industry, he held various leadership positions at Heineken International across Sub-Saharan Africa, Europe, and the Americas. He also served on the boards of several Heineken subsidiaries. Prior to his appointment as Chairman of Bank of Kigali, Mr. Ubalijoro served as Central Region Vice President for Molson Coors Beverage Company in the USA.
Mr. Ubalijoro holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Georgetown University and an MBA from the University of Sherbrooke in Canada.
