Empowering Uganda’s Economy: Centenary Bank Wins Big for Supporting Small Businesses and Agriculture

The awards and certificates of recognition were given in appreciation of Centenary Bank’s strong performance in two key initiatives:

 Small Business Recovery Fund (SBRF)

Centenary Bank was honoured as the Overall Winner for timely and full repayment of loans due under the SBRF as of March 31, 2025.

This achievement demonstrates the bank’s ability to manage risk and provide effective support to small businesses.

Agricultural Credit Facility (ACF)

Centenary Bank was recognised as the 1st Runner-Up for Best Performing Financial Institution (Commercial Bank and UDBL category) under the ACF. This award highlights the bank’s commitment to supporting farmers and agricultural businesses.

Value Addition Projects

The bank emerged 1st Runner-Up for disbursing the highest number of loans to value addition projects under the ACF.

Grain Trade Beneficiaries

1st Runner-Up for disbursing the highest number of loans to grain trade beneficiaries under the ACF.

Underserved Geographical Regions

The bank scooped the position of 2nd Runner-Up for disbursing the highest number of loans in underserved geographical regions under the ACF.
