Musinguzi reappointed Commissioner General, Uganda Revenue Authority for another 4-year term

John R. Musinguzi, the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Commissioner General, has been reappointed for a second 4-year term.

He was first appointed in March 2022 to take over Uganda’s tax authority from Doris Akol who was Commissioner General from November 2014.

“This momentous occasion reflects the unwavering trust and support extended by the President of Uganda, His Excellency Kaguta Museveni, the Honorable Matia Kasaija, Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development and the esteemed Board of the Uganda Revenue Authority.” The Authority said.

“This collective endorsement underscores a unified commitment to our nation’s fiscal integrity and prosperity. Together, we embark on this continued journey with enthusiasm and a shared vision for a brighter & more prosperous Uganda.” The Authority continued.

The appointment of John Musinguzi Rujoki, a former Senior Presidential Advisor on ICT and Investment Matters and a computer scientist by background- he holds a Master’s degree in computing and Information systems from the University of Greenwish and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Makerere University.
