Renowned Kampala lawyer Pheona Nabasa-Wall is standing for the Uganda Law Society (ULS) Presidency, with the intent to replace the outgoing Simon Peter Kinobe.
Nabasa declared her intention to contest as ULS president in March this year and urged the legal fraternity in the country to support her heavily.
As the former Vice-President of the Uganda Law Society, Nabasa, who heads the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) legal department, is the Chairperson Legal Aid & Pro Bono Project ULS.
She is also the Founding Member, Utility Regulation Academy University of Florida and was awarded The Hague Institute for Innovations in Law’s “2018 Talent to Watch” award.

A New Vision 40 under 40 finalist, she is an advocate with a Bachelors’ Degree in Law, a Diploma in Legal Practice, an MBA in Management and she is a Chartered Mediator.
Nabasa is also a governance professional and a public relations practitioner with over 15 years’ experience, having worked with Airtel Uganda, taught law at Kampala International University, worked at the LDC Legal Aid Clinic, and at Tumusiime Kabega &Co Advocates. She also served as the PR Director for the Public Relations Association of Uganda.
She is a member of various organizations like ICGU, FIDA-U, IBA, PRAU, ULS, and EALS, who is extensively experienced in legal risk management, regulatory compliance, projects, infrastructure, and construction law, board affairs, and stakeholder relations management.
With a reputation for teamwork, steel determination, and innovation and all the above experience, she presents a formidable candidate for the Uganda Law Society.
