Call for Deliberate, Collaborative Strategy

The hosting of the conference in Kampala underscores Uganda’s growing importance as a hub for regional strategic thought.

Innocent M. Agaba, President of the IASP Uganda Chapter, emphasised that the time for mere potential is over; the focus must now shift to “deliberate innovative strategies and partnerships” to translate ambition into measurable impact.

“Africa has the talent, ambition, and ideas to lead in innovation and growth. What we need now are deliberate innovative strategies and partnerships to turn potential into measurable impact,” Agaba said.

“The time is ripe to explore cutting edge strategies that can accelerate progress towards the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and enhance regional economic integration. This conference is where those strategies will take shape,” he added.

This sentiment was reinforced by Dr. Samuel Aikhuomogbe, President of the IASP Nigeria Chapter, who highlighted the crucial nature of cross-border alignment.

He noted that the collaboration between the Uganda and Nigeria chapters, representing two key regional economic anchors, is a “call to action” to unlock the continent’s full potential and position it as a global leader.
